Allergies

Nuts

Whilst nuts are not used in any of our recipes or allowed in our kitchens, we are not able to guarantee that dishes are 100% nut free. This is due to the ongoing reformulation of products and ingredients from our suppliers and the potential for cross contamination in their production areas.

All queries regarding allergies should be addressed to your school secretary.

Star Cuisine is able to cater for all genuine allergies.

Infants

From September 2014 all children in reception and years one and two will be entitled to free lunches as part of the Governments new Universal Infant Free School Meal policy.

Your child could get free lunches or milk at school. Schools must provide free lunches for eligible pupils, paid-for meals where requested and good facilities and supervision so pupils can eat safely.

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under the Immigration and Asylum Act

The Star Cuisine Way

Nutrition is central to a healthy body and mind. This is even more important in young children, who's bodies and minds are constantly leaning, growing and changing.

At Star Cuisine, we are passionate about providing food that is fresh and gives your children all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals in our tasty appetising dishes!

Whether it be a Hot Pot or a Lasagna, you can be sure that each meal is prepared and cooked with your child's specific needs in mind. We cater for all dietary requirements and ensure that where possible the dish resembles a standard meal, so ensuring your child does not feel different from his / her peers.

Meals are cooked in our Commercial Kitchen Hub at Baden Powell and St Peters Junior School. We supply dinners to Lilliput and Courhtill infant schools, which are less than five minutes away from our kitchen hub minimising journey time, ensuring the food is in the best possible condition.

Our meals are cooked fresh every day and where possible our ingredients are locally sourced. We use as many fresh ingredients as possible, avoiding frozen vegetables and utilising fresh fruit every day and bread to supplement our meals for those with hungrier appetites.

For Lilliput and Courthill parents this may be the first opportunity your children have had to sample our food. We are reflective in our practices and welcome constructive feedback to improve on service levels further. Parents and children can give there feedback on email, to (the kitchen Hub email address) or by using the feedback book on site in the school foyer.

If you would like to order your school meals, please contact your School office for Courthill and Lilliput your meals will be free of charge.
